Iranian blockade 'an act of war'

MANAMA: Any Iranian move to blockade the Strait of Hormuz would be considered as an "act of war", a top US military official said yesterday.
Iran would "not be allowed" to take control of the key oil route and an attempt to do so would provoke a "vigorous" international response, said outgoing Fifth Fleet Commander Vice-Admiral Kevin Cosgriff.
He was responding to Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander General Mohammed Ali Jafari's warning on Saturday that Iran would choke off the strait if the country was attacked.
A quarter of the world's oil supplies pass through the narrow stretch, between the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Gulf.
"I cannot imagine, given the critical nature of that body of water, that the international community would not be outraged should Iran or any entity move to restrict the freedom of navigation," Vice-Adm Cosgriff told a Press conference at the US navy base in Juffair.
"They are not going to be allowed to do so. It would be an act of war. "In a tight oil market, the international community would respond vigorously to that." He would not specify what action the US would take.

But, to your useless rhetoric: Look nitwit, this country (Iran) is continuing the push to be able to produce nuclear weapons of mass destruction, they have sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, then us. They have no restraint whatsowever, to provide these weapons to terrorists/jihadists who would not hesitate to use them.

Sure, if we attacked Iran, it would be an act of war on our part - that is what "attacking in war is". It is apparent that A-mad-dingbat is resolved to an ACT OF WAR on us with NUKES if he can get them - as HE has REPEATEDLY said.
Now, if they defended themselves (as any rational person would presume they would) that would be seen as "Iran DEFENDING THEMSELVES".

The US, UK and other EU countries are presently in the process of preparing a blockade of Iran to prevent them from getting benzene gas which is vital to their economy. This is an overt act of war.
What do you perceive to be the edict that gives us the right to impose our will on another soveriegn nation. We have killed over a million Iraquis and dispossessed another four million ostensibly for the bombings of the World Trade Center. There were no Iraquis on board any of the plane involved. There were however many Saudi Arabians. Why haven't we attacked the Saudis?
